Ian Hughes

Sales Director

Ian is responsible for New Business at LHM Media, drawing from an extensive background in retail and online marketing.

For 8 years Ian worked for a world leader in digital recording equipment. In 2002 Ian moved into digital marketing for the music industry working with high profile artists and record labels.

In 2005, Ian set up LHM Media with Paul McMonagle and Steven Lawrence, who both shared his drive and vision of how mobile and web technology would benefit the marketing industry. Four years later the vision is reality with the LHM Media brand employing ten people and working for International clients including Carphone Warehouse, Everton FC and Sony BMG. The same drive and vision pushes LHM Media into the new technology and marketing theory emerging in 2009.

Ian is an active member of Digital Birmingham, and is passionate about LHM Media’s contribution to making Birmingham a leading European digital city by 2010. To achieve this LHM Media will be enabling both the commercial and social communities of Birmingham to use the web and mobile technologies currently available.

Ian was delighted to receive the ‘Outstanding Innovation Award’ from Birmingham City Council at the 2008 Creative City Awards. The LHM Media E-mail and SMS Marketing Software system ‘Broadcast’ was the overall winner for innovation.
